IT HAPPENS AT THE GROUND ZERO MUSIC FEST IN 2024
YEAR WAS 1900
MP4 video (running time 4m 27s) explaining that it's safe to look directly at the totally eclipsed Sun and highlighting some of the ways to safely view the uneclipsed or partially eclipsed Sun. This video was created for the August 2017 solar eclipse, but the advice if offers is relevant to the 2023 and 2024 North American eclipses too. Credit: American Astronomical Society
THANK YOU NASA FOR PRODUCING THIS VIDEO
Total Solar Eclipse's don't happen everyday in the USA. The last one happened on April 21st, 2017. In fact there have only been 8 total events counting the first one in 1778.
TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE DATES IN USA HISTORY
April 8th, 2024 is the next one and then it won't happen again until August 12th, 2026 and remarkably another will happen on August 2nd, 2027.
The GROUND ZERO MUSIC FEST WILL HAVE 4 MINUTES AND :05 SECONDS OF UNOBSTRUCTED VIEWING OF TOTALITY DURING THE FULL SOLAR ECLIPSE, THAT'S WHY IT'S GROUND ZERO!
The only safe way to look directly at the uneclipsed, partillly eclipsed, or annularly eclipsed SUN is through special-purpose solar filters such as eclipse glasses. Make the appropriate plans to protect your eyes.
Bandera Texas is the host city for the Ground Zero Music Fest. The event is much more than just 5 days of music and fun, it is also the place to be to view the full SOLAR ECLIPSE that will be happening on April 8th, 2024.
Known as "THE COWBOY CAPITAL OF THE WORLD", Bandera Texas is rich in history and is widely recognized as the gateway to the Texas Hill Country. Equally unique are the people of Bandera who take great pride in welcoming visitors to be a part of the community while they're here.
